Orange Ball Level 1:
At this level, players will learn the basic rules of tennis and develop their groundstroke skills, focusing on stopping and hitting the ball. They’ll work on movement coordination, balance, and footwork. The progression includes practicing drop serves, rallying with coaches, and aiming for specific targets like cross-court and down-the-line shots. Players will also start learning net play, including volleys and overheads, as well as the fundamentals of spins, with an emphasis on topspin.
Orange Ball Level 2:
Level 2 players will refine their groundstroke techniques and focus on overhead serves and more advanced net play, including volleys and overheads. They’ll improve movement coordination and integrate these skills into gameplay. The emphasis is on rallying consistently, learning to aim for cross-court, down-the-line, and deep shots, and developing high-percentage tennis strategies. Players will also practice match play and review point formats.
