Green Ball – Introduction
The focus of Green Ball Level 1 is on mastering the fundamental principles of tennis, including rules, basic strokes, and effective movement coordination. Players will start with free hitting to assess their ability across all shots, followed by revision drills for groundstrokes, serves, and net play. The lessons emphasize improving stability, balance, and movement in both vertical and sideways directions. Key progressions involve mastering spin techniques with a focus on topspin, improving consistency and accuracy in groundstrokes, and learning to apply spin in match play. The program introduces overhead serves, service returns, and basic match play tactics, as well as incorporating physical conditioning. Players will also develop strategies for consistent point play and learn the importance of a game plan for match play.
